The Progress® Sonic ESB® Product Family comprises Sonic ESB and a comprehensive set of compatible products that simplify application integration using a service-oriented architecture (SOA). Together they extend Sonic ESB—robust infrastructure software that integrates large, physically distributed deployments—with complex standards-based service orchestration, operational data management, partner collaboration, and integration of third-party relational data sources, packaged applications and technologies.

Unlike traditional EAI technologies, the Sonic ESB Product Family is modular and service-oriented, allowing you to dynamically deploy just the functionality you need, where and when you need it. End-to-end SOA Management
The Sonic ESB Product Family leverages Progress® Actional® for SOA management, enhancing visibility and control across Sonic ESB and into the infrastructure it connects. Actional automatically detects service level violations and instantly traces their root-causes for visual display and counter-measures. Only Actional can provide this capability with immeasurably low overhead and the capacity to scale with the distributed architecture of the Sonic ESB.

Common Data Model Management
Sonic ESB Product Family also includes development and runtime integration with Progress® DataXtend™ Semantic Integrator (SI), which dramatically simplifies the problem of common data model lifecycle management, transformation and validation. DataXtend SI improves both development and runtime, with common eclipse tooling and the ability to deploy semantic services in ESB containers automatically. As Sonic ESB helps organizations eliminate rigid architectures of point-to-point connections, DataXtend SI solves the problem of point-to-point transformations, making it much easier to integrate data and evolve an SOA with diverse connected systems.
